Mixed Methods

Without understanding the process behind impact (or its absence) it is very difficult to understand the applicability of the measured impact, its relevance to another place and time (i.e. its external validity), and to understand whether and how to replicate it in another context. Quantitative impact evaluations tell us a lot about the size of the impact, but almost nothing about how and why the impact occurred. Mixed Methods can help fill this gap.
